Hi! I’m your podcast host, Eric Byrd. I started this show because no one ever really taught me the details of professional networking. I had to figure it out for myself. As a career salesperson I was taught a lot about funnels, and pipelines and closing deals. I was told to go meet people and talk to them. I was handed the company “elevator speech” and sent out into the world. But something was missing. I felt like I was walking through mud. I didn’t seem to be making real progress. Eventually I realized something profound:
